ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION
Delete your account
You can delete your Olyoo account and the data associated with it in two ways. You do not need to have the app installed to make the request.
Option 1 — In the app
Open Olyoo and go to Me → Settings → Delete account, then confirm when you are asked to.
Option 2 — By email
Send a request from the email address associated with your account to:
olyoo2026@outlook.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request
In the message: state the email address you use to sign in to, or that is associated with, your account.
Do not send passwords, identification numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.
What happens next
- Straight away. The account is deactivated and you are signed out on every device. To everyone else it already reads as deleted: your profile can no longer be opened, and your posts and comments no longer appear. Your activities are settled at this point — see What cannot be undone.
- Seven-day restoration period. During these seven days the account is deactivated, not deleted, and your data is kept. Signing in with the same Google account during this period cancels the deletion request and returns the account to normal status — nothing further is needed to confirm it. Your profile, your posts and comments, and your records come back. If you want the deletion to go ahead, stay signed out until the seven days are up.
- Deletion. If the seven days pass without a sign-in, we complete deletion of the account and its associated data. After this point the account cannot be restored and the deletion cannot be reversed.
What cannot be undone
Restoring the account within the seven days brings back your profile and your content. It does not bring back your activities. The moment a deletion request is submitted:
- Activities you were hosting that had not yet finished are cancelled, and their group chats are closed.
- You are removed from activities you had joined that had not yet finished, and the seat you were holding is released.
These two effects are permanent even if you restore the account, because by then they have already changed other people's plans — the activity is off, and the seat has gone to someone else.
What is deleted
The account and the user data associated with it are deleted. This includes your account and profile information, the text content you published, and your activity and interaction records, as described in the Privacy Policy.
What may be retained
Where permitted or required by law, we may retain limited information for safety, anti-fraud, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The relevant data categories and retention periods are described in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Content that other users have independently saved, forwarded, or disclosed is outside our control and is not affected by account deletion.
